Blackened tilapia

1/3 cup low-fat mayonnaise
2 tablespoons chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
1 tablespoon finely chopped dill pickles
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 garlic clove, minced
Fish
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
4 (6-ounce) tilapia fillets (you can also use cod or halibut or any other mild, white fish)
2 teaspoons canola oil
1. Combine the ingredients for the remoulade in a bowl and refrigerate to chill.
2. Combine the spices (paprika through red pepper) and sprinkle both sides of the fish evenly.
3. Heat a large skillet over medium to medium-high heat and add oil.
4. Add the fish to the pan and cook for about 4 min on each side or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
5. Serve with the remoulade.
