12 hour butterhorns
Recipe by
1 pkg. yeast
1 Tablespoon sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 Cup butter
1 Cup scalded milk
1/2 Cup sugar
4 Cups flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
Prep. Time → 720 min
Cook Time → 20 min
1. Combine yeast and 1 Tablespoon sugar with 1/4 Cup warm water, let sit.
2. To milk add butter
3. To beaten eggs add sugar
4. Add salt, milk, butter, yeast mixture and put in flour.
5. Beat for 10 min.
6. Cover and let rise for 5 hours.
7. Punch down and divide in half.
8. Roll each half into a circle 1/8" thick.
9. Spread with melted butter and cut into triangles and roll from wide end.
10. Brush with butter, and let rise 5 hours.
11. Bake 350° for 15-20 min.
