Baby corn manchurian
Recipe by1. Baby corn- 100 g
2. For marination
Cornflour- 1/4 cup
Red chilli powder-1/4 tspn
Pepper powder-1/4 tspn
Tomato sauce-2 tspn
Salt
3. Sugar-1 tspn
Onion-2 chopped
Garlic- 5-6 podes chopped
Green chilli-2 chopped
Red chilli powder-1tspn
Tomato sauce-1 1/2 tspn
Chilli sauce-3/4 tspn
Dark soya sauce-3/4 tspn
Spring Onion -chopped
Oil
1. Marinate baby corn with the ingredients listed under " for marination" and keep aside for about 1/2 an hour
2. Add oil in a pan and shallow fry the babycorn till they are golden brown.Remove from pan.
3. In the same pan add some more oil & add sugar ( see notes ).When the sugar melts,add chopped onions and saute till they change colour to golden brown.Add garlic and green chilli and saute till the raw smell goes.
Add red chilli powder& saute for few seconds.Then add tomato, red chilli and tomato sauce. Add the marinated baby corns and mix well.
Sprinkle salt and chopped spring onion- mix again.
4. Cook for 15 mnts in low flame without adding water.
Every 5 mints give a good mix
5. Garnish with spring onion
6. Notes; Adding sugar to the oil will give a fine brownish colour to the recipe .
