Baked French Toast Casserole of Karyn Johnson - Recipefy

8 to 10oz loaf of French bread
Butter for pan
4 large eggs
1 cup half and half cream
1/2 cup milk
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tbsp vanilla
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Praline Topping 1/2 stick of butter
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tbsp light corn syrup
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Combine and blend well in small bowl, spread over bread as instructed

1. Arrange 1 inch thick slices in a generously greased 9x9" baking dish, overlapping.

2. Combine eggs, cream, milk, sugar, vanilla and spices, whisk until well blended. Pour over the bread, covering all.

3. Cover with foil and refrigerate over night.

4. Preheat oven to 350°F.

5. Spread praline topping over the bread and bake 45 minutes. Cover with foil for the first 20-25 minutes. Finish uncovered for last 20 minutes, until puffed and lightly golden.
