Blackcurrant Vodka of Andrew Chadwick - Recipefy

Vodka - Your brand choice, I used Russian Standard
For the cocktail sauce
175g/6oz sugar
175ml/6fl oz water
splash cherry liqueur ( Chambord )
350g/12oz black currants or raspberries

Prep. Time → 5 min

Cook Time → 20 min

1. Melt the sugar in the water in a heavy based saucepan.

2. When all of the sugar has dissolved add the black currants and simmer for 5 minutes.

3. Use a stick blender to blitz the mix.

4. Pass blended mix through a sieve and chill.

5. Now make the drink... Add 25cl measure of vodka to a glass and about the same of the cocktail sauce.
If making a tall drink use plenty of ice and try adding soda water. If like me, you prefer your drinks to not mess about, just charge the glass with ice and enjoy.

6. Tall drink is nice for summer whilst the stubby job is perfect for winter :-D
