Ingredients
- 8 slices wholemeal bread from a 400gm loaf**
- 3 eggs
- 2 egg whites
- 16fl oz skimmed milk**
- vanilla essence
- granulated sweetener to taste
- cinnamon, mixed spice or nutmeg
- 85gm (3oz) sultanas (12 Syns)

1. Method
1. Line the bottom of an 8 inch square baking dish with 4 slices of bread cut into small squares or chunks. Sprinkle with sultanas.

2. Spread the rest of the bread on top.

3. Beat the eggs and egg whites. Add the skimmed milk & sweeten to taste with the granulated sweetener. Pour the liquid over the bread. Sprinkle with the spice.

4. Place in the oven for 30-40 minutes at 180C / 350F / Gas 4 until puffed and firm.

5. Serve warm with very low fat natural yoghurt or fromage frais.
