Chicken and rice

Chicken Parts (1-2 pounds, depending on how much you want to make) You can use white or dark meat, or mix them.
2 cups uncooked rice
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
4 cups chicken broth
I package of Lipton Onion Soup Mix

Prep. Time → 10 min

Cook Time → 90 min

1. Spread uncooked rice in the bottom of a large baking dish.

2. Place chicken pieces directly on the rice.

3. Mix together cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, and Lipton Onion Soup Mix. Pour mixture over the top of the chicken and rice.

4. Cover tightly with foil and bake at 350 degrees for an hour and half (or until rice and chicken is cooked)

5. If chicken pieces with skin on is use, grease will rise to the top of the chicken and rice, and can be skimmed off.

6. Notes: A little extra broth (about 1/2 cup) makes for rice that is a little more sticky if you prefer that. However, this may require a little extra cooking time. If you are using canned broth and need just a little more to make 4 cups, water can be used with broth to make up the difference.

7. Also, this is a good recipe for baking rice in the oven if done without adding the chicken. In this case, the cooking time is only about 1 hour.
