Chicken chow mein

150g of egg noodles
300g of skinned chicken breast fillets sliced to strips
a dash of dark soy sauce
1tsp five spice powder
1tbsp cornflower
1-2 tbsp groundnut oil
1 red pepper de-seeded and finely sliced
150g bean sprouts
1 large spring onion sliced lengthways
2tbsp soy sauce
grounded black pepper(fresh is best but it doesn't really matter

Prep. Time → how ever long it takes min

Cook Time → as long as it takes min

1. 1.cook the noodles for 2-3 mins or according to pack instructions.Drain the noodles twice under cold running water then add a drizzle of sesame oil and toss the noodles to stop them from sticking.

2. 2. Place chicken strips in a bowl and season with a dash of soy sauce, and the 5 spices powder. Mix well then lightly dust with cornflower.

3. 3. Heat a wok pan till it smokes then add ground nut oil, then add chicken and stir fry for 3-4 mins, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.

4. 4. Add the pepper and stir fry for 1min, then add the beansprouts and spring onion and stir fry for 30secs. Stir in the cooked noodles and season with a dash of soy sauce,a dash of sesame oil and the ground black pepper.

5. 5. pile the dish onto a plate and enjoy! delicous ,yum!!
