Chilli (bean) con carne
Recipe by500g - Minced Beef
400g - Tomatoes, chopped
100g - Onion, chopped
300g - Mushrooms, button
160g - Bell Pepper, Green
400g (1 tin) - Baked Beans in Tomato Sauce
400g (1 tin) - Red Kidney Beans
1 Teaspoon - Hot Chilli Powder
1 Tablespoon (15g) - Tomato Puree
1 Tablespoon (15g) - Garlic Puree
A pinch of Salt and Pepper
Prep. Time → 15 min
Cook Time → 45 min
1. Fry the onions and peppers, add the mushrooms to soften then remove.
2. Fry the Lean Minced Beef, drain fat if necessary, return the fried vegetables and add the tomatoes, flavourings, drained kidney beans and baked beans.
3. Cook down for as long as it takes to boil the rice. Bring it back to heat through again, and serve immediately with hot garlic bread and rice,
4. Garnish with cheese if liked.
