Chilli Chicken of Kitchen Snippets - Recipefy

Boneless chicken-500 gm

For marination

Ginger paste- 1tspn
Garlic paste-1 tspn
Green chilli paste-of 3 chillies
Kashmiri chilli powder-1 tspn
Pepper powder-1 tspn
Cornflour-6 tblpsn
Egg White-of 2 eggs
Soy sauce-1 1/2 tspn
Salt

For sauce

Sugar-2 tspn
Onion-1 chopped
Capsicum-1 cubed/ sliced
Ginger-1 tspn
Garlic-1 tspn
Kashmiri chilli powder-1 1/4 tspn
Soy sauce-1 1/2 tspn
Tomato sauce-2 tblpsn
Water-1 1/2 cup
Cornflour-1tspn
Salt
Oil

1. Marinate the chicken pieces with ingredients listed under " for marination" and keep in refrigerator for 1-2 hrs.(Overnight refrigeration is best ).
Deep fry the marinated pieces till golden brown and keep aside

2. Heat oil in a non stick pan and add sugar to it.Keep in low flame and let the sugar dissolve well.Add chopped onion ,capsicum,ginger and garlic.saute well for few mints ( onions need not change colour).Then add the chicken pieces and mix well.

3. Mix the red chilli powder in 1 1/2 cup of water and add to the mixture .Cover and let it boil.Then add the sauces ,mix well,sprinkle enough salt and cook till the sauce is reduced .Mix 1 tspn cornflour in 2 tblpsn water and add to the sauce .
Cook for few more mints till the gravy is thick enough (You can make it dry too ) and chicken pieces are well coated with sauce.

4. Serve hot with fried rice.
