Chilli soya ularthu
Recipe bySoya chunks-1/2 cup
Onion-1 big sliced
Ginger-crushed 1 tspn
Garlic-crushed 1 tspn
Small onion-10 sliced
Coconut pieces-3 tblspn
Capsicum-1 cut into cubes/slices
Red chilli powder-1 tspn
Turmeric powder-1/4 tspn
Garam masala powder-1/4 tspn
Tomato sauce-1 1/2 tspn
Soy sauce-1 tspn
Red chilli sauce-1/2 tspn
Cinnamon-1 small stick
Oil
Salt
Prep. Time → 10 min
Cook Time → 10 min
1. Wash dry soya chunks in water then boil for 5 mints adding salt.Strain water and wash the soya chunks in cold water.Sqeeze out water fully
2. Heat oil in a pan .Add cinnamon pieces.Then add sliced onion,crushed ginger,garlic, small onion and coconut bites.Saute till the raw smell goes and the
onion turns light brown.Add capsicum also and saute for few more seconds.The simmer the flame and add all the spice powders.
Saute well.Now add the sauces and cooked soya.Mix everything well.Add more salt if needed.Keep in low flame and cook for
5 mints.Switch off the flame and serve hot with chapathi/roti.
3. Notes:I used small sized soya chunks to make this.If you are using regular sized ones,make sure that you cut them into small peices.
This helps to absorb the spice flavours and sauces quickly.
