Chocolate cake with fruit

cake
500g fresh berries (strawberries or gooseberries)
100g (1 slab) dark chocolate, chopped (optional)
180ml ground almonds
750ml cake flour
350-500ml white sugar
90ml cocoa
10ml bicarbonate of soda
160ml oil
salt
10ml vanilla essence
30ml vinegar
500ml cold water
Yoghurt ganache
200g (2slabs) dark chocolate
175ml plain yoghurt
strawberries, halved (optional for garnish)
Prep. Time → 20 min
Cook Time → 40 min
1. preheat oven to 180C and grease roasting pan
2. cake:
combine fruit, chocolate and almonds, set aside
3. sift dry ingredients in separate bowl and make a well in center
4. whisk oil, vanilla, vinegar and water in another bowl
5. Pour into well in dry ingredients
6. whisk until well blended
7. Fold in fruit mixture and turn into pan
8. lightly tap pan on work surface to remove bubbles
9. bake for 30-40min or until done
10. yoghurt ganache:
break up chocolate and melt in bowl over warm water
11. cool slightly and add yoghurt
12. chill, beat occasionally until it thickens slightly
13. apply to cake when cake is completely cooled
