Chokecherry Jelly of Michele Poole - Recipefy

3 cups prepared juice ( about 3 quart fully ripe berries)
6 1/2 cups sugar
1 bottle of certified liquid pectin

1. First prepare the juice. Stem berries. Add 3 cups of water, bring to a boil and simmer, covered about 15 minutes. Place in jelly clothe or bag and squeeze out juice. Measure 3 cups into large saucepan

2. Th measured juice add exact amount of sugar, mix well. Place over high heat and bring to boil stirring constantly. At once stir in the certified. Then bring to a full rolling boil and boil hard 1 minute stirring constantly. Remove from heat, skim off foam with metal spoon, and pour quickly into jars. You may cover with paraffin wax to insure seal.
