Crab stick gratin
Recipe by• 700g crab stick, thawed and cut into small pieces
• 1 glass white wine
• 2 small white onions finely chopped
• 200g swiss cheese grated or gruyere
• bechamel sauce
• 1 teaspoon tomato paste
• thyme, finely chopped
• parsley, finely chopped
• butter
• salt and pepper to taste
• 60g flour
Prep. Time → 25 min
Cook Time → 20 min
1. First of all, in a saucepan cook about 2 teaspoons of butter with the 2 finely chopped onions and let the onion become transparent.
2. Add 3 teaspoons of the finely chopped thyme and parsley to the mixture.
3. Stir a little bit and let it cook for few minutes.(2-3 minutes)
4. Then add the crab stick which are cut into small pieces. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes and then take the saucepan out of the stove.
5. For the bechamel sauce, add 60 g of flour with 250 cl of milk in a jug and stir until all the mixture is all smooth.
6. Then in a saucepan put 2 teaspoon of butter and put the mixture of the milk and flour slowly while stirring constantly until the sauce becomes thick. And the bechamel sauce is done.
7. After that, put one teaspoon of tomato paste into the bechamel sauce to give it a bit of color.
8. Add the crab stick mixture prepared before to the bechamel sauce and finish the cooking by putting in one glass of white wine. Salt and pepper to taste.
9. Put everything in an oven dish and put the grated Swiss cheese on top and put in the oven at 180`c for 15 minutes.
10. To serve hot with a salad and bread. Enjoy!
