French onions
Recipe by2 sweet onions, sliced
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup water
Salt and pepper to taste
1-1/2 cup croutons
1 cup Gruyere cheese, grated
1/4 cup parsley, chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Prep. Time → 10 min
Cook Time → 30 min
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
2. Toss sliced onions, Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, water and salt and pepper in a baking dish. Cover; roast until tender, about 25 minutes.
3. Toss croutons, cheese parsley, olive oil and salt and pepper in a bowl and spread over onions. Bake 5 minutes more.
