Fruit cake

Ingredients
1 lb. butter
14 oz. sugar
12 eggs
26 table spoons flour or oz.
1 ¼ lb. currants
¾ to 1 lb. walnuts
8 oz. candied peel
cherries (optional)
brandy (optional)
2 tsp. baking powder (4 level teaspoons)
or 1 tsp. bicarbonate Soda
You can put almonds and Cashew nuts
Directions
1. Beat butter and sugar
2. Add eggs
3. Add all the fruit
4. Mix flour and baking powder
5. Bake in a buttered foil dish
6. Decorate with almonds and cherries as preferred.
