Gobi kasuri methi
Recipe by1 medium cauliflower (cut in florets )
1 onion (medium, sliced)
1 tomato (chopped finely)
1 green chilli
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilly powder
2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp kasuri methi / dry fenugreek leaves *
1 tsp sugar
2-3 tblpsn oil
Salt
1. Heat 2 tblspn oil in a pan and add the cauliflower florets.Sprinkle turmeric powder and salt.Saute continuously in high flame till the florets starts to turn light brown.
2. Remove the florets from the pan and add 1 tblspn oil to it.Add the sliced onions and saute till they turn transparent.Add ginger-garlic paste,green chillies and saute till the raw smell goes.
3. Then add the chopped tomato and cook till the tomato becomes soft and pulpy
If the gravy is too dry,add little water.
4. To this add red chilli and coriander powder and mix well.Add the cauliflower florets,sprinkle,mix well and cook for 10 mints.
5. Finally add kasuri methi,stir well and cook in low flame for 2-3 mints.
Serve hot with roti.
