Green bean casserole
Recipe by1 Portobello mushroom cap (chopped)
1/2 stick of butter
2cups of heavy cream
1/2 white onion Tbsp flour
1-2 cups of grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup of bread crumbs
1 Bag of green beans
Salt, pepper, garlic
1. Oven roast green beans in oven at 375 for about 15-20 mins
2. Place in a pan
3. Start with sauting the mushroom cap in a table spoon of butter, salt and pepper
4. Remove from pan once cooked through, 5-10 min
5. Place two table spoons of butter in pan
6. Once melted add flour
7. Once flour soaks up butter
8. Slowly whisk in the heavy cream
9. Add salt, pepper and garlic to taste
10. You want the roux to be a sauce, so add water if it is too thick or more flour if too watery
11. Whisk until complete combined and remove from heat
12. Add mushrooms and Parmesan cheese.
13. Add cheese sauce to the green beans.
14. Combine breadcrumbs and mozzarella cheese
15. Add salt pepper and garlic
16. Add bread crumb mixture to the top of the greens beans.
17. Broil until golden brown on top and serve
