Hot tomato soup
Recipe by1 red onion
2 cloves of garlic
1 stick of celery
1 red chilli
1 kg ripe tomatoes roughly chopped (can will do if real thing not available)
1 litre water
Prep. Time → 5 min
Cook Time → 30 min
1. Chop onion, celery and garlic and gently fry for about 10 minutes until soft.
Add chilli and fry hotter for another 3 minutes.
Add tomatoes
Add water
Bring to the boil and simmer for 30 minutes.
2. Allow to cool until manageable and put in blender. Blend until really smooth.
3. Push through a tight sieve with silicone spatula or use a muslin cloth to allow only fine liquid through.
4. Eat with fresh crusty bread!
