Hyderabadi khichdi recipe
Recipe by1/2 cup masoor dal
1 cup Rice
1 tea spoon ginger garlic paste
Salt to taste
1 medium onion
3 Green chilies
3 Cardamom
5 Pepper Corns
3 Cloves
2 small cinnamon stick
2 bay leaves
Water as required
1 tbsp Mint leaves chopped
1 tbsp coriander leaves chopped
2 tbsp ghee
2 tbsp Oil
2 tbsp yogurt
Prep. Time → 10 min
Cook Time → 25 min
1. Soak the rice and masoor dal, in separate bowls for 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan, add bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, pepper, roast it.
Then add green chilies, sliced onions, salt, turmeric, ginger garlic paste and cook this till raw flavor is gone.
Then add curd (optional), rice, masoor dal, water, chopped mint and coriander leavesand cook it with closed lid till rice is done.
At last, add ghee on top of the rice and put the lid on for few minutes.
