350g self raising flour
175g margarine
175g caster sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon milk
Jam

Directions
1. 1. Rub margarine into flour with fingertips.
2. 2. Add sugar, egg, milk, and beat until stiff.
3. 3. Grease and flour baking tray. Spoon small heaps of mixture onto the tray.
4. 4. Make a hole in the centre of each heap and fill with jam. Draw the edges together.
5. 5. Bake for 15-20 minutes on gas 8, 230*C, until firm and golden.
