Lauki halwa a.k.a doodhi halwa (bottle gourd)
Recipe by
2 bowls of grated lauki
3/4 bowl milk
1/2 bowl sugar
2 big spoons ghee
Melon seeds
Raisins
Prep. Time → 20 min
Cook Time → 35 min
1. Add grated lauki and milk in a thick bottom pan or wok and cook. Cooking needs to be done for at least 10-15 minutes. Keep stirring on slow flame cooking.
2. Add sugar to it and mix well and cook for another 5-7 minutes till sugar blends well into it.
3. Add ghee and now fry it nicely for another 5 minutes till halwa starts blending nicely and leaves the surface of the vessel.
4. Add raisins and melon seeds. Mix it nicely and switch off the stove.
5. Garnish with sliced almonds if you like.
