Leaner meatloaf (aka "leanloaf")
Recipe by1.25 lb Extra Lean (90/10) Ground Beef
1/4 cup diced onion
1 egg
1 TBSP Ketchup
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Sambal chili sauce (optional, but gives a nice kitck)
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Prep. Time → 20 min
Cook Time → 40 min
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
2. In a small nonstick skillet, saute the onions in margarine (or butter or olive oil) until they begin to brown on the edges. Set aside and let cool
3. Mix together the remaining ingredients, until just combined - don't overwork the meat
4. Form into a loaf and place on a baking sheet (line with foil for easier cleanup)
5. Bake for about 40 minutes
