Lemonade scones
Recipe by1 cup lemonade
1 cup cream
3 cups self-raising flour
Pinch salt
Prep. Time → 5 min
Cook Time → 15 min
1. Heat oven to 200-220o (depending on how hot your oven is).
2. Mix all ingredients in a bowl with your hands until the mixture becomes a mound and doesn't quite stick to the side of the bowl.
3. Transfer the mixture to the bench onto a mound of plain flour to stop it sticking. Knead the mixture (but not too much - you want the air still in the scones so they're light and fluffy) then roll or press the mixture flat (about 2-4cm high).
4. Cut scones with a scone cutter or some other round implement and place them on a greased over tray. Brush scones lightly with milk.
5. Cook for 10-15 minutes. Serve hot with jam and cream.
