125g bacon, diced
1 small diced onion
500g green lentils
1 bay leaves
1 liter of chicken stock
Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Prep. Time → 10 min

Cook Time → 40 min

1. Place the bacon in a saute pan over medium-high heat and saute until bacon is crisp.

2. Add the onions and cook until the vegetables are translucent, about 5 minutes.

3. Add the lentils and the bay leaves and cook for 1 minute.

4. Add the chicken stock and bring to a boil. Lower the heat to a simmer, cover, and cook for 20 to 30 minutes, until the lentils are tender.

5. Season with salt and pepper.
