Macaroni cheese shuttlecook style
Recipe by200g Macaroni
200g Bacon
1 Clove of Garlic
2 tbsp Butter
1 tsp Dried Thyme
2 tbsp Flour
1 Pint of Milk
1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
150g Gruyere Cheese
100g Mature cheddar
Ball of Mozarella
2 tbsp Bread Crumbs
Prep. Time → 25 min
Cook Time → 15 min
1. Preheat oven to 220 degrees
2. Boil the kettle
3. Chop bacon into 2cm squares
4. Finely chop the garlic
5. Fry bacon for 3 minutes
6. Take bacon out of pan and put in butter
7. When melted remove from heat and add garlic, thyme and flour whilst stirring constantly for 2 mins
8. Put back on low heat and slowly pour the milk whilst stirring until smooth
9. Leave to cook for 7-8 mins
10. Boil pasta for 10 mins
11. Grate cheeses whilst waiting
12. After 7-8 mins add cayenne pepper, bacon, cheese and then macaroni
13. Pour into oven proof dish and sprinkle breadcrumbs on top
14. Bake for 15 mins
15. Serve
