Muhallebi apple milk pudding
Recipe byMilk-2 cups
Cornflour-2 tblpsn
Egg yolk- of 2 eggs
Sugar-1/4-1/2 cup
Vanilla essence-1/4 tspn
Rose water/rose water essence- see notes for quantity
Apple-1/4 cup cut into small chunks
1. Mix together 3-4 tblspn milk,cornflour and egg yolks without lumps.
2. Heat remaining milk in a deep pan.When the milk just starts to boil add sugar to it and stir well till sugar dissolves( don't let the milk boil ).Then add cornflour and egg yolks mix to it.Stir continuously while adding the egg yolks mixture.Continue stirring till the milk gets thicker .( thicker than that of pouring consistency ).
Then remove from fire and add vanilla essence and rose water.Mix well and let it cool down to room temp.
3. In a bowl/ pudding cup,put 1 tblspn of apple chunks.Then put some prepared pudding mixture on top.Likewise layer apple and pudding mixture in bowls and keep in refrigerator for 1-2 hrs.Serve chill.
4. Notes:If you are using pure rose water,add 1/2 tspn to the pudding.
If using rose water essence,add only 2-3 drops.
