Mulled wine
Recipe byHalf a bottle of Red Wine,
A shot of Brandy,
1 x Cinnamon Stick,
Nutmeg,
star anise,
1 clove,
1 satsuma,
1 glass of orange juice
1 Orange sliced
Prep. Time → 60 min
Cook Time → 5 min
1. Put the Spices (except the Cinnamon stick) and some grated nutmeg into a muslin cloth and tie to seal the parcel
2. Into a pan place the Wine, bag of spices and cinnamon stick into a pan
3. Tear the Satsuma into quarters, Skin and all and place into the Wine mix
4. Cover and Leave for at one hour to allow the wine to gently take on the flavours from the spices
5. Now add the Orange juice and start to gentle heat the Mulled Wine mix, once fully heated (don't allow to boil) add the dash of brandy
6. Serve using a soup ladle in a festive mugs or a heat proof glass with a slice of orange
