Nana's cabbage rolls
Recipe by1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground pork sausage
1 onion chopped
1 cup uncooked rice
28 oz spaghetti sauce
2 cups tomato juice
1 med cabbage
1/2 lb bacon
Prep. Time → 40 min
Cook Time → 60 min
1. 1. Fry onion in oil. Brown ground beef and pork sausage.
2. Cook rice partially in microwave.
3. Boil cabbage whole.
4. Mix cooked rice with ground meat.
5. Take each cabbage leaf and roll some meat inside.Hold together with toothpicks.
6. Pour some tomato sauce into bottom of roasting pan. Place the cabbage roll in the roaster pan.
7. Pour over the remaining sauce and tomato juice. Lay on top uncooked bacon slices.
8. Bake for 1 hour or until tomato sauce is thickened a bit.
