1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3 cups quick cooking oats
1/2 or 1 cup coconut
1/2 cup "nut meats" aka, nuts

Cook Time → 12 min

1. Cream shortening and sugars.
Add beaten eggs.
Sift flour, baking soda and salt. Add to sugar mixture.
Add oats, coconut and nut meats.
Mold into 2 rolls and chill in refrigerator.
Cut into 1/4 inch slices and place 2 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheets.
Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes.
