Pan fried apple pork chops
Recipe by4 boneless pork chops
2 TBSP flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
2 Tbls olive oil
2 apples peeled cored and sliced thin
1 cup chicken stock
1 TBSP apple cider vinegar
2 TBSP honey
Parsley for garnish
Prep. Time → 15 min
Cook Time → 20 min
1. Season pork chops with salt and pepper and let sit for 15 minutes at room temperature.
2. Mix flour, salt, chili powder, garlic powder, paprika, and pepper then dip both sides of pork chop in breading mix.
3. Heat olive oil over medium heat and add pork chops. Cook 3 minutes on first side til browned then flip pork chop and reduce heat to low and cover for remaining time. Cook pork chops in til internal temp temperature reaches 145 degrees. (approx 5 minutes)
4. Remove pork chops from pan and add apples to pan. Cook apples til they start to soften then add chicken stock, apple cider vinegar and honey. Cook for 7-8 minutes til sauce thickens.
5. Add pork chops back to the pan and coat with sauce and apples - serve with steamed potatoes & a green vegetable, or salad.
