Pear tart 2011

1. Pear Tart 2011 Easy if someone can cut the pears thinly
2. (This was enjoyed by Cal, Libby, Rhys, and Gwyn on 7-10-11) 10" tart pan
Crust:
1 cup white whole wheat flour
1⁄3 cup white flour
1/2 cup almonds, ground
3 T sugar
1⁄4 teaspoon salt
7 T cold butter, cubed
2-3 T cold water
Mix together until forming into a ball. Press into tart pan.
3. Filling:
stir to combine
1⁄2 cup sugar
1⁄4 cup white flour
2 eggs
1 1⁄2 teaspoonful grated lemon peel (fresh or dried)
1⁄2 - 3⁄4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 Tablespoon olive oil
Pour into crust
Top with 2 pears, thinly sliced, arranged in a lovely design.
Bake 375 for 35-40 minutes. A toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
