4 Cups white flour
2 oz. butter or margarine
1 egg
Buttermilk or ¼ cup plain yogurt mixed with water
1 pkg. instant yeast
Pizza Sauce
Ingredients
1 ½ lb lean-ground beef
1 medium size chopped onion
Salt, pepper to your taste
1 teaspoon basil
3 cloves garlic (fresh)
½ teaspoon fresh ginger grated
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1 large tin peeled tomatoes
½ tin (small) tomato paste
Cook Time → 20 min
1. Mix yeast with little warm water. Add 1 teaspoon sugar. Cover up until it becomes frothy.
2. Now mix flour and butter together. Add beaten egg.
3. Now add yeast mixture and knead the dough with butter milk, cover up and let it stand to rise till it doubles in size.
4. Cook ground beef in a sauce pan until it turns colour. If there is too much fat, drain it.
5. Add all above ingredients except mushrooms. Cook well stirring all the time, keep it on low heat and simmer. Add mushrooms and cook well until the mixture is thick (not too watery).
6. Now roll out the pizza dough and put it in a pizza plate which has been brushed with oil.
7. Spread pizza sauce on it. Top up with chopped onions, green peppers (if you like green chillies fresh), olives and sliced tomatoes. Cover with mozzarella cheese depending on your taste whether sprinkle lightly or top with slices.
8. Cook in the oven for 20-25 minutes at 400 degrees.
