Plaice With Leek and Bacon Sauce. of David Le Mottee - Recipefy

4 rashers of streaky bacon, chopped
2 leeks, trimmed and sliced
1 oz of plain flour
salt and freshly ground black pepper
4 plaice fillets, skinned
1 oz of butter
1/4 pint of whipping or double cream

Prep. Time → 5 min min

Cook Time → 12 min min

1. Fry the bacon in a frying pan until crisp,
then remove from the pan.
Boil the leeks for 5 min,
then drain.

2. Tip the flour on to a plate, add salt and pepper
and coat the plaice on both sids.

3. In the same frying pan, melt the butter
and fry the fish for 2 min on each side.
Wipe out of the pan.

4. Add the cream, bring to the boil and simmer
for 1-2 min to reduce slightly.
Add the leeks, then spoon over the fish.
Sprinkle with bacon to serve.
