Plain Scones of Molly Teague - Recipefy

250g self raising flour,
1 teaspoon baking powder,
50g block margarine or butter,
50g caster sugar,
and about 125ml milk.

Prep. Time → 10-15 min

Cook Time → 10-12 min

1. Light oven reg 7/ 210 degrees centigrade,

2. Rub in margarine / butter to flour and baking powder (sieve together).

3. Add caster sugar to mixture.

4. Add milk and mix to a stiff dough.

5. Put on table and pat to a round shape about 3cm high.

6. Cut out rounds with a small cutter.

7. Place on baking tray and cook for approx 10-12 mins until top and bottom of scones are golden brown.

8. Best to serve with clotted cream and jam.
