Puffed Rice Granola Bars of Kelsey Zahn - Recipefy

4 cups Arrowhead Mills Puffed Rice Cereal
1/2 cup Bobs Red Mill Gluten Free Oats
1.5 cups Krema Organic Peanut Butter (or your favorite nut butter)
1 cup Organic Honey (agave or maple syrup may be used to sub)
1/4 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips, divide in half

Optional add-ins
Shredded coconut
Dried Fruit, I love dried cranberries or cherries

*Depending on how sticky you like the bars to be add more or less peanut butter or honey to the mixture, more chocolate can also be added for a more desert like effect.

Prep. Time → 15 min

1. In a large bowl mix the Puffed Rice, Oats, Almonds, and half of the Chocolate chips together.
Melt Peanut butter and Honey together in a sauce pan stirring constantly to keep from burning.
Pour over top of the cereal mixture.

2. Pour mixture into a 9x13 inch pan and press down with the back of a spoon or spatula until a flat surface is achieved.

3. In a glass bowl, melt the remaining chocolate chips until smooth, checking every 30 seconds.
Drizzle over the top of the bars and let cool.

4. Once the bars are set, cut into squares and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks of enjoyment :)
