Quick and easy tiramisu
Recipe by1 tbsp Nescafe or similar Freeze Dried Coffee
2 tbsp white sugar (caster or granulated)
4 tbsp Tia Maria or brandy (or more to taste ;) )
2 x 250g tubs Italian Mascarpone
500g carton ready made custard - fresh or long life
200g pack Boudoir Biscuits (or sponge cake)
50g grated dark chocolate
Prep. Time → 30 min
Cook Time → 0 min
1. Mix together the coffee, 300ml boiling water, sugar and Tia Maria or brandy. Stir until everything has dissolved.
2. Beat the mascarpone until softened, then gradually beat in the custard.
3. Dip half the biscuits quickly in the coffee mixture and use to line the base of a glass serving dish. If using sponge instead of biscuits cut into slices, arrange in the bottom of the bowl and pour the coffee mixture over.
4. Sprinkle a third of the chocolate over the biscuits, then half the custard mixture. With the sponge variant just pour over all the custard.
5. Repeat these layers, then sprinkle with the remaining chocolate.
6. Refrigerate for a few hours before serving
