Ranger cookies

1 cup shortening 1 cup white sugar 1 cup brown sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 2 cups flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder ½ tsp. salt 2 cups quick cooking oatmeal 2 cups Rice Krispies 1 cup shredded coconut
Directions
1. Cream the shortening and sugars together. Add the eggs and vanilla; mix until smooth. Sift flour, soda, baking powder and salt together, add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Then add the oatmeal, rice cereal and coconut, and mix; dough will be quite crumbly. Mold with hands into balls. Place on a greased cookie sheet and press slightly. Bake in 350 oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Yields: 6 dozen.
