Ras malai
Recipe by1 ½ or 2 litre milk
1 mug milk powder
1 egg
Ground cardamom
3 pinches of baking powder
1 tbs cooking oil
Sugar to taste
Almond slivers, kesar and pistachios for decoration
1. Boil the milk with sugar
Mix milk powder, baking powder, cardamom
2. All dry ingredients
3. Add egg and oil
4. Make dough
If does not bind, add one or two teaspoons milk and make neither hard nor soft dough
5. Make oval shaped balls. Then put them in boiling milk and let it cook for 15 to 20 minutes until milk is thick, ready half left.
6. Add kesar then let it cook.
7. Put in a bowl and decorate with pistachios or almond slivers.
8. Use thermometer for sugar thickness.
