Red pasta sauce

1/2 C Olive oil
1 medium onion, minced
3 cloves garlic, minced
2.5 lbs fresh tomatoes, peeled and chopped or 1 large and 1 small can tomatoes
1 T sugar

1. Heat olive oil in sauce pan

2. Add onion and garlic; saute

3. Add tomatoes and sugar. Bring to boil, then lower to a simmer.

4. Cook for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally

5. Puree about 3/4 of sauce

6. Add salt & pepper
