Sri lankan green beans
Recipe by250g Green Beans chopped into 3cm pieces
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp Turmeric
1/2 tsp salt
1 green chilli sliced
1 medium onion sliced
3 garlic cloves sliced
2 curry leaves
Coconut oil or ghee
1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp curry powder
piece of cinnamon
Prep. Time → 5 min
Cook Time → 20 min
1. Warm the oil or ghee in the pan
2. Heat the mustard seeds
3. Add the dry ingredients and fry for a few minutes
4. Add the onion, garlic and chilli and fry until onion is translucent
5. Add the beans and cook for 5 - 10 minutes or until the beans are cooked
6. Add a little water if you need to to stop the garlic/onion from going brown
