Strawberries and cream turnovers recipe

3 sheets of puff pastry, thawed
4 oz cream cheese at room temp.
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp lemon zest
1 egg yolk

(for the filling:)
1/4 cup strawberry preserves
1 cup chopped strawberries
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp lemon juice
2 tsp corn starch
1 pinch of salt
1 egg wash: (one egg beaten with a touch of water)
1 powdered sugar, for topping

Prep. Time → 20 min

Cook Time → 25 min

1. 1. Preheat oven to 375*. Take some baking sheets, and line with parchment paper.

2. 2.In a bowl, add cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, vanilla extract, zest of lemon. Mix together with spatula.

3. 3. In a another bowl, add chopped strawberries, sugar, corn starch, lemon juice; stir together.

4. 4.Put puff pastry on table flour with flour, and roll out with baking pin. Inch bigger; take knife and cut in 4 sqaures.

5. 5.Take cream cheese filling and dap in middle. Then strawbery filling and Jam.

6. 6.Take egg wash, and brush the sides of the puff pastry.

7. 7.Fold like a traingle. Take fork, dip in flour, and press the edges. Slit in middle.

8. 8.Brush egg wash on top; put in oven for 25 mins.

9. 9.Once cooled, sprinkle powdered sugar on top
