Sugar cookies - no refrigerator
Recipe by1 Cup Butter
1 Cup Sugar
1 Large Egg
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 and 3/4 cups flour
1. Preheat over to 400
2. Cream butter and sugar with an electric mixer.
3. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
4. Add baking powder and flour, one cup at a time mixing after each addition.
5. Blend last of the flour by hand.
6. If you are going to use cookie cutters: Divide into 2 balls. Roll on floured surface and cut out cookies.
7. Or roll into small balls and flatten on cookie sheet with the bottom of a cup dipped that has been dipped in water then sugar (redip in water and sugar as needed).
8. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 6 - 7 minutes depending on size of cookie.
