1 pkg. (8 oz.) elbow macaroni
1/2 tsp. salt
2-1/2 tbsp. butter, melted

1/3 c. bread crumbs
8 oz. Velveeta, cubed
2 tbsp. flour
1/8 tsp. pepper

1. Cook macaroni as directed on package and drain.

2. Melt 1-1/2 tbsp. butter in a heavy saucepan. Blend in flour, stir in milk slowly, and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.

3. Add seasonings and cheese, stirring until cheese is melted.

4. Add macaroni and transfer to a buttered 1 qt. casserole or individual casseroles.

5. Combine bread crumbs and 1 tbsp. melted butter. Sprinkle over macaroni.

6. Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes.

Just found this recipe, about to try it (although it will be used as my main course since we are in dire need of grocery shopping). Will come back and make a post about how well (or poorly) it turned out! :) As a side note, I will be using farfelle (bow tie pasta) instead unless I find some macaroni in the pantry.
