Welsh cakes

2 c flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 c sugar
1/2 cup currents (well washed)
about 1/4 lb margarine or butter
1 egg
1/4 c milk

1. Sift flour, bkg powder, salt, sugar into bowl.

2. Using fingers mix in enough marg to make similar to pie crust. Add currents and mix.

3. Beat egg and milk add to flour mixture.

4. Roll on floured board to about 1/2 inch thick. Cut into circles with a biscuit cutter.

5. Fry in dry skillet. Four to five minutes each side. Turn only once.
