Boiled family-sized chocolate cake
Receta por2 cups water
3 cups caster sugar
250g butter
1/3 cup cocoa
1 teaspoon bicarb soda
3 cups SR flour
4 eggs

1. Line large cake tin. Heat oven to 180oC.
2. Combine water, sugar, butter and cocoa in medium saucepan over heat until sugar dissolves. Bring to boil then simmer 5 minutes. Transfer to large electric mixer bowl and cool to room temperature.
3. Add flour and eggs to bowl. Beat with electric mixer until smooth. Pour mixture into pan, bake about 50 minutes. Stand in tin 10 minutes then cool on rack.
4. Frosting:
90g butter, 1/3 cup water, 1/2 cup caster sugar, 1 1/2 cups icing sugar, 1/3 cup cocoa.
Combine butter, water and sugar in saucepan over heat until sugar dissolves. Gradually add to sifted cocoa and icing sugar. cover and put in fridge 20 minutes or until it thickens. Beat with wooden spoon until spreadable.
