Chocolate and cherry loaf cake

4oz butter, melted
4 oz caster sugar
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 eggs
5oz plain flour
3oz ground almonds
1oz (1tbsp) cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp milk
0.5 tub of glace cherries, washed and halved
T. Preparacion → 15 min
T. Cocinado → 1.5 hours min
1. Put everything apart from eggs and cherries in mixer
2. Add whisked eggs
3. Mix cherries in last. Not in mixer unless very briefly or all the cherries get mashed :)
4. Pour into lined loaf tin and bake at gas mark 4. After one hour pop a bit of foil on top for another 0.5 hour. Done when knife inserted comes out clean. freezes well, but slice first!
