1 medium onion
1/3 c brown sugar
1/2 c chili sauce (usually found in the ketchup aisle at the grocery store)
4 tsp. vinegar
2 tsp. chili powder
Dash of worcestershire
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 lbs. of canned kidney beans (strained)
1 15oz. can of black/pinot beans (strained)
1 15oz. can of diced tomatoes

1. In a large pot, cook onion in oil for a few minutes.

2. In a small mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, chili sauce, vinegar, chili powder, worcestershire, salt, and pepper. Mix together into a paste.

3. In the large pot combine chili paste with the onion, and add the beans and tomato and bring to a boil.

4. Can continue to cook on the stove for at least an hour until the sauce thickens. Can also bake in the oven at 325 degrees, or can make in a crock pot. The crock pot should take longer- about 3 hours.

5. Add a small amount of water if the sauce is too thick.
