Pepper chicken curry
Receta porChicken-500 gm
Onion-3 sliced
Green chilly-1
Tomato-1 sliced
Coriander powder-1 1/2 tspn
Dark Soy sauce-1 tspn ( optional )
Curry leaves
To marinate
Pepper powder-1/2 tspn
Turmeric powder-1/2 tspn
Lemon juice-1 tblspn
Salt
To grind/crush
Ginger-1 small piece
Garlic-5 podes
Small onion-6-8
Whole masala-cardamom-1,cloves-4,cinnamon-1 small stick,fennel seeds-1 tspn
Black pepper corns-1 - 1 1/2 tspn ( as per your spice level )
1. Marinate chicken pieces with ingredients listed under for marination and keep for 1 hr.
Grind /crush together all the ingredients listed under " to grind/crush" and keep aside.
2. Heat oil in a pan and saute onions till they are golden brown.Then add in the crushed paste and green chillies.Saute till the raw smell goes.Add tomato and cook till they become soft.Now add coriander powder and dark soy sauce.Saute till oil starts to ooz out from the masala.Add chicken pieces and curry leaves.Mix well and sprinkle enough salt.Add 1/4 cup water,cover and cook till the chicken is cooked well and the gravy becomes thick.
Remove from fire and garnish with slightly roasted curry leaves and serve hot.
