White Batter Bread de Laura McCracken - Recipefy

4 to 4-1/2 cups flour
1 pkg yeast
3 Tbsp sugar
1-1/2 tap salt
1 cup water
1 cup milk
2 Tbsp butter, softened

T. Preparacion → 60 min

T. Cocinado → 35-45 min

1. Combine 1-1/2 cups flour, yeast, sugar and salt in large mixing bowl.

2. Heat water, milk and butter until very warm (120° to 130°). Butter does not need to melt.

3. Add to dry ingredients, beat until well combined.

4. Gradually add remaining 2-1/3 to 3 cups flour, or until enough flour to make a stiff batter. Beat for 2 minutes on high speed, scraping bowl often.

5. Cover and let rest about 10 minutes.

6. Stir batter down. Beat vigorously for about 30 seconds. Pour batter into greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan and let rise until doubled in size, about 40 minutes.

7. Bake in a preheated 375° oven for 35-45 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
